Innings Festival

HomeScottsdale EventsInnings Festival

From late February to the beginning of May, the Valley of the Sun presents a whole lot of different attractions, from Spring Training baseball and thrilling PGA golf championships to music festivals and car shows. There is always something to do on the itinerary during this time of the year. In fact, Major League Baseball along with the same promoters from Lollapalooza have produced the Innings Festival since 2018. Moreover, the Innings Festival not only presents some of the best artists on the stage, but it also gives fans from out-of-state Spring Training teams a chance to enjoy some tunes aside from attending the baseball games.

Tempe Beach Park

The weekend-long event takes place at the Tempe Beach Park on the shores of the Tempe Town Lake. In addition to the excellent artists who perform every year, the two-day festival offers three different stages, family-friendly activities, food vendors and merchandise as well as appearances by former and current Major League Baseball players. Additionally, the Innings Festival allows for meet-and-greets with baseball players and artists, VIP lounges, tickets to Spring Training games and much more; it all depends on the package you purchase.

Artist Lineup at The Innings Festival

For the last couple of years, the Innings Fest has attracted some premier talent; past acts include Queens of the Stone Age and Phosphorescent. In 2020, Dave Matthews Band and Portugal, the Man will be the headliners on the first day (Saturday, February 29th) and Weezer and Death Cab for Cutie will lead the show on day two (Sunday, March 1st). Moreover, festival attendees can see these artists in three different areas: the aptly named Left Field Stage, Right Field Stage and Home Plate Stage, respectively.

Extra Innings Info

To arrive at the Innings Festival, use the light rail system or rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft because parking is typically very hard to find for events held at the park. At the Big League Bites food vendor area, feed your hunger at Ballpark Burger Co. El Jefe Tacos, Hot Bamboo, Island Noodles and Tom’s BBQ, just to name a few. Additionally, the food trucks will include Dilla Libre Gourmet Quesadillas, Killer Burger, and White Mountain Food Co. To drink, attendees have choices such as the Stella Rosa Wine Lounge, the Malibu Rum Beach House and Tito’s Vodka Hut in addition to a couple of others, including the Pedialyte Station to rehydrate under the warm Arizona sun.
