Scottsdale Nightlife

HomeScottsdale ActivitiesScottsdale Nightlife

Scottsdale is home to so much to do in your free time. We are not surprised at all that the fun does not stop when the sun goes down! The Scottsdale nightlife is among the best in the state, featuring craft beer breweries with perfect pours of pints, wineries that are ideal for sipping on a rice glass of red or white wine, retro lounges that are ideal for dancing the night away, and kitschy bars that are great for meeting other people and having cheap drinks. What more cod do you want on your vacation? Let’s check out the top spots to hit during your big night out on the town or your friends’ getaway in the booming town of Scottsdale, AZ.

Maple and Ash

Although you may not think that Old Town is the best place for going out for a few drinks, you are mistaken! Old Town is the hub of all there is going on in Scottsdale, featuring old-themed bars, Western-style breweries, and much more. One of our favorites is Maple & Ash, a traditional steakhouse that features perfectly crafted cocktails, five-star food, a high-energy atmosphere, classic steakhouse dishes, large porter steaks, and fire-roasted seafood. The food here is high-end and will leave you wanting more!

Culinary Dropout

Another hopping spot in Old Town Scottsdale is Culinary Dropout, a fun and vibrant bar that features yard games, ping pong tables, pool tables, craft beer, shareable appetizers, cheesy nachos, and much more. We love that you can easily walk here from numerous other bars in the area, so there is never any issue dropping in for just a pint or two. We recommend getting the pretzels and cheese fondue to split with the table!

Straight Up Whiskey Bar

Are you a fan of straight up whiskey? Maybe you don’t enjoy all the sugary cocktails that are such a rage right now, and you are a fan of just high-end, top-shelf liquor. If so, this is the place for you! The Straight Up Whiskey Bar is similar to that of times past, featuring a no-frills atmosphere and whiskey flights, specialty drinks, rare whiskey, and a speakeasy vibe that is ideal for date night.

Coach House

This is one of the most vibrant and popular bars in Scottsdale – and you will soon see why! The outdoor space with the low lighting, pristine views over the nearby town, and never-ending beer pitchers are sure to get the party flowing. We love the outdoor patio, barstool seating, and local vibe.

Hand Cut Burgers and Chophouse

The wooden interior, bright yellow tables, industrial vibe, and TVs showing sports and the big games make this the ideal place to sit back, get a great bite to eat, sip on an ice-cold beer, and watch the basketball game on one of the many TVs around the joint. We recommend getting one of the infamous burgers with melted cheese, jalapenos, crinkle cut fries, and a pint of an IPA to start your evening.

Bevvy

After a burger at Hand Cut Burgers and Chophouse, simply walk over to Bevvy to enjoy some high-end cocktails, continue watching the big game on the flatscreen TV, try one of their specialty carefully-infused cocktails, and play a few arcade games with your mates. We love coming here when we want to play games and do more than just sit and drink!

Rusty Spur Saloon

If you are in the mood for a Western-themed evening and want to travel back in time, there really is no place better than the Rusty Spur Saloon. Featuring old-time memorabilia on the walls, Cowboy-themed decorations, and a vibe that makes you feel like you are truly in the Wild West, this Historic Old Town Scottsdale joint is popular among tourists and locals alike. Head here to enjoy a night full of country dancing, cheap beer, cold drinks, and live music that is sure to get you up and out of your seat.

Second Story Liquor Bar

If you are in the mood for something a bit more refined, then head to the Second Story Liquor Bar or enjoy this cocktail-centric and liquor-focused joint that is just like an old-time speakeasy. We love the upscale vibe and the reclusive nature of this bar, that makes it the ideal spot for an intimate date night with your partner.

Toca Mader

Last but not least, Toca Madera is one of the best spots for an upscale evening of Scottsdale nightlife filled with tantalizing and mouth-watering Mexican cuisine. You usually think of Mexican food in a casual and laid-back spot with neon signs, but this swanky and upscale bar with incredible decorations, plush seating, gold bar stools, and low-hanging chandeliers will reinvent what you previously thought of in your mind. We love the tapas-style food and the high-end interior that pairs perfectly with tasty cocktails and ice-cold Mexican beer.
