Yama Sushi Phoenix

For sushi that is as beautiful as it is delicious, Yama Sushi House is the place to go in Phoenix. This Japanese dining spot is a favorite for both locals and visitors in the Phoenix area. The Japanese décor, including those cute ceramic figurines for the table tops, is soothing and familiar, allowing all the focus to be on the beautiful and delicious cuisine.

Sushi and More

Popular dishes with Yama Sushi House customers include the Sushi Bibimbab, Grilled Scallops and Prawns, the Scorpion King Roll, and any of the Chefs Specialty Rolls. While there are the typical appetizers you’d expect to see in any Japanese restaurant, (tempura, calamari, dumplings, edamame etc.), Yama Sushi House also has several not so usual selections like baked mussels, tuna-stuffed jalapenos, and fried tofu, for a refreshing start to your meal. There are almost ten different salads to choose from too, with options of Salmon Skin Salad, Poke Tuna Salad, Avocado Salad, Seaweed Salad, and a Squid Salad.

Yama Sushi Phoenix has a large selection of classic rolls and Chef’s Specialty Rolls on the menu. The Chef’s Specialty Rolls includes a Dynamite Roll (baked roll with scallop and crab on top of a California Roll), Blossom Roll (Tuna on top of a Salmon Avocado Roll with a tuna sashimi flower) and a  Magic Roll (smoked salmon, jalapeno, cream cheese and seaweed deep fried, wrapped in soy paper, topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce).

There’s a wide variety of Sashimi, Nigiri, and Noodles and Rice (with Udon, Ramen and more) too. And, if you can’t decide, don’t worry, there are several combination plates. Diners who aren’t in the mood for sushi can opt for dinner plates with Teriyaki Steak, Pork Katsu, and more. Lunch Bentos, Lunch Special Plates and a Lunch Poke Bowl offer a variety of lunch options for middle of the day sushi cravings. And there are several desserts with choices of pastel colored Ice Cream Mochi, Tempura Cheese Cake (yes, it is fried), Lava Cake and more.
