The Vig

Surrounded in sweeping mountain vistas, Scottsdale is all about patio bars with good food and crisp, cold drinks. No one does it better than The Vig, known as one of the best patio bars in the Valley. Casual dining meets serious food at The Vig Scottsdale, with a menu featuring modern American fare with a Southwestern kick. The house ‘Vignatures’ offer playful twists on classic cocktails, and an impressive wine list is also available to pair your meal with a glass of vino. With five locations spread throughout Scottsdale and Phoenix, The Vig has quickly become a neighborhood favorite.

The Vig Scottsdale Menu: American Food with Southwestern Flavor

The Vig Scottsdale menu specializes in lunch classics like burgers, sandwiches, and salads with a few surprises on the menu. The pozole, a red chili-spiced Mexican soup, and the jalapeno mac and cheese are popular hits. An array of tasty shrimp, slow-roasted pork and beef short rib tacos also brighten up the menu, each with a Southwestern kick like habanero salsa and green chilis. For a more serious affair, you can’t go wrong with larger plates on offer like the steak fries or grilled salmon.

Vignatures, Bubbles, and Beer

The large, open patio seating at each location still manages to create an intimate space for your party, whether it’s a casual dinner date or grabbing drinks with friends. The Vig features a list of house Vignatures, with drinks like the Cold Brewed Old Fashioned and the Vig Manhattan. Moscow Mule lovers must try the Daily Mule, mixed with the house’s daily featured spirit. Don’t know what to order? Try the Bennett & Bubbles, a popular favorite blending tropical and zesty flavors with Tito’s handmade vodka and sparkling wine. There is also a selection of red and white wines available, as well as domestic and craft beers from local breweries.

Relax with a View of McDowell Mountain

One thing every Vig location has in common is a fantastic outdoor patio space, ranging from cozy and intimate to sunny and sprawling. The Vig at McDowell Mountain, located in North Scottsdale, features a large patio wrapped around the entire restaurant with floor to ceiling windows and glass doors to fully take in the mountain views. This location is a local favorite for weekend brunches and unwinding after hitting the trails at McDowell Mountains. Lockers and bike racks are also available for locking up your gear while you relax in the outdoor patio. Surrounded by landscaped desert gardens, the patio feels more like a den, with reclined patio chairs, large yellow umbrellas, and shaded seating. Live music and twinkling string lights add to the ambiance, creating the perfect atmosphere for dinner with a view in Scottsdale.

The Vig Scottsdale has two locations: The Vig McDowell Mountain at 10199 E Bell Rd and The Vig McCormick Ranch at 7345 N Via Paseo Del Sur. Both locations are open daily at 11 A.M.
