Morning Squeeze

HomeScottsdale DiningMorning Squeeze

Upon first glance while wandering around Old Town Scottsdale, you might be forgiven for thinking that this area of town is brunch central considering the large amount of breakfast restaurants on every corner. Morning Squeeze stands out however, mostly because it has such a casual vibe, and of course, the kitchen provides superb dishes. Open for breakfast and lunch, it is an excellent spot to start the day, especially if you have a dog; their canine friendly patio is quite popular!

Retro Breakfast at Morning Squeeze

When entering Morning Squeeze in Scottsdale, visitors will immediately notice the retro design throughout the space. From 70s décor in the booths to the funky colors and pictures on the walls, everything works in harmony without the actual dated feel of that particular decade. On the menu, order some overnight oats or a bagel with lox to begin, and then move on to the eggs benedict section. Do you want something a little heartier? Try the chicken and waffles, the green chili pork skillet, or the biscuits and gravy. For lunch, try the delicious Free Bird sandwich made with fried chicken, bacon, avocado, lettuce, and mayo on grilled sourdough. The Reuben features excellent ingredients in this classic sandwich, while the Shoot Me Straight is the restaurant’s version of a burger. It is simple and sublime, a masterpiece in which the chefs let the ingredients speak for themselves.

Behind the Bar

There is not a breakfast restaurant in town worth its salt if diners do not have access to an innovative drink menu. Fortunately, the barkeeps at Morning Squeeze know how to make excellent morning/brunch libations. The Bloody Mary section has four different selections: The Classic, another one that uses pickle, the Spice, Spice Baby which uses green chili vodka, and the You’re Bacon Me Crazy with, you guessed it, bacon. Irish coffee, hot toddies, mimosas, and more, every drink is handcrafted and well balanced. If you wish to have a couple of glasses of Prosecco, champagne, or wine, Morning Squeeze has you covered. On nice days, take your cocktails outside onto the patio and enjoy people watching while you sip.

Two Locations

This popular establishment has two locations. The one in Scottsdale is located at 4233 North Scottsdale Road and it is open every day from 7am to 2pm. The other Morning Squeeze is located in Tempe, where the students from nearby ASU visit every morning at the location on 690 S. Mill Avenue.
