Kaizen Phoenix

Kaizen was just gearing up for its grand opening in Phoenix’s warehouse district when the pandemic hit. Everything changed, and so did the way this new spot would operate. They have been focusing on take-out and delivery to start (using their own in-house delivery system) and are adding dine-in options as they can. Enjoy Kaizen sushi in Phoenix and more!

Presentation

The presentation of their dishes is amazing when dining in and is still amazing when you open your delivery or take-out box. The Pork Hane Gyoza, Octopus Tiradito, and Tuna Poke Cones may be just too pretty to eat!

Kaizen is taking care to package and protect its menu items to ensure they’ll survive the ride, arrive edible, and still look amazing. Some assembly may be required to keep things fresh, crisp and in their best condition, but it’s worth the little effort it will take to put things together!

Food and Flavors

The menu at Kaizen Phoenix reflects the chef’s conscious and delicious blending of flavors from Japan, South America, and beyond. The menu has enough variety in it that both sushi and sashimi enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike will find more than one menu item they’ll enjoy.

Start with the small plates, with choices including Spicy Edamame, Shishito Peppers, and Ancho Tamarind Ribs. Customer favorites are their Hane Gyoza, Karaage, and their Tuna Poke Cones.

House Rolls include their popular Senor Larry, a delicious combination of big eye tuna sashimi with panko fried shrimp, spicy crab mix, cucumber, avocado and a jalapeno-cilantro mix. Sushi and sashimi lovers will be pleased with the options provided as they can order sashimi, nigari, or temaki assortments or rolls, and Kaizen Signature and Maki sushi rolls.

Signature Plates are varied with choices based around seared big eye tuna, scallops, Japanese red snapper, octopus, yellowtail, king salmon, and even a chicken option. A Cerviche Mixto has a bit of everything for those who can’t decide.

They have a few signature cocktails that you need to try too, including the Seicho, a lovely combination of raspberry vodka, lime juice, raspberry puree, and more. Happy Hour (4pm to 6pm) offers craft beer, wine and cocktail specials and the popular Sake Bombs. You may need a designated driver after this 22-ounce sake drink!
