Chin Up Donuts

HomeScottsdale DiningChin Up Donuts

If you love unusual taste combinations and donuts, you’re going to love Chin Up Donuts. They offer a brioche style donut made from scratch with a wild, wide variety of unique flavors and toppings. They’re easy to find too; just look for the bright wave of colors on the shop door.

Unique Flavors

All the donuts are brioche-style but feature different glazes and toppings. They rotate their flavors regularly and have seasonal specials. Give them a call to check on the available flavors, or to ask about their dairy free/vegan donuts. You can grab a cup of fresh house-roasted coffee, espresso, chai and more to go with your donut while you’re there.

By far their big seller is the Ore-Oh!, a donut with a vanilla glaze coated in crushed Oreo cookie pieces. Past monthly special and seasonal donuts have included a crème brulee donut, apple cider spice cake donut, cranberry orange donut and a peppermint mocha donut. Occasionally they offer the Doughrito (sort of a brioche breakfast burrito with eggs, bacon and cheese stuffed between donuts) or a Mac & Cheese Fritter.

Here are a few more of their Specialty Donuts, just to give you an idea of the variety of their toppings. Toffee Time has a chocolate glaze topped with chunks of butter toffee, Ahoy Cap’n features a vanilla glaze topped with Cap’n Crunch Berries cereal, I Like It A Latte comes with a coffee and vanilla glaze topped with a dusting of coffee and chocolate covered expresso beans and Lavender Fields has a lavender glaze (of course) and is sprinkled with dried lavender flowers.

Not all their donuts are on the sweet side either. Here are two donuts to get you going first thing in the a.m.: the Sriracha – Cha with a sweet and spicy sriracha glaze coated in cinnamon sugar sprinkled with red pepper flakes, and the Whoa Wasabi with a sweet and spicy wasabi glaze topped with a ginger-infused caramel drizzle.

Details and Covid 19 Updates

Due to the pandemic, they are accepting orders 24 hours in advance, and are offering curbside pick-up, take-out, and delivery options. Give them a call (480-912-1240), to order your take-out or pick-up treats. You can pick up your crazy good donuts at 7325 E Frank Lloyd Wright Suite 103 in Scottsdale. Chin Up Donuts is open daily from 7am to 3pm Monday through Sunday.

After 2020, we all need an Ore-Oh! or two and a motto like theirs: “Chin up – you live in a world with donuts!” For more donut shops in Scottsdale, give us a call! We can help you find a lovely vacation rental close to your favorite donut shop too.
